Halina Rice is a London-based electronic musician and AV artist renowned for her vivid and eclectic style, using multiple effects and sampling to create original and experimental sounds.  Uniting elements of dance, ambient and experimental music, her sound ranges from evocative and melancholic soundscapes to beat-driven tracks.

Launching the NEW WORLDS project in 2020 she creates immersive AV environments in which to envelop her listeners, with her sold out live shows being described as “part rave, part art-happening.” . Rice has worked in close partnership with L-Acoustics to perform in spatial audio at multiple venues including Abbey Road Studios, Iklectik Artlab, Startbahn Berlin and EartH, Hackney. 

Debut album REDUX was released via independent label Blurred Recordings in 2017 to positive press reviews and radio play, described by FM Magazine as “a credible and exciting avant-electronic pearl” and in Clash magazine as a “world of fragmentary beauty”.

 

A series of self-released tracks via AWAL were followed by sophomore album ELISION, released by Injazero Records in September 2022 described by Electronic Sound Magazine as "a captivating glimpse of her eclectic sound world".
